ParentCompass (parentcompass.ai) is an AI-powered college counselling service for families. References to "we", "us", or "ParentCompass" in this policy refer to the team operating parentcompass.ai. For privacy enquiries, contact us at hello@parentcompass.ai.

2. What data we collect

At this stage, ParentCompass is a pre-launch product. We collect only:

• Email address — when you join our waitlist via the form on our homepage.

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any other personal data unless you provide it voluntarily by emailing us.

3. How we use your data

Your email address is used solely to:

• Notify you when ParentCompass launches
• Send you early-access information and founding-member pricing details
• Occasionally share product updates relevant to ParentCompass

We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-party services

We use the following services to operate our waitlist:

• MailerLite — our email service provider. Your email address is stored on MailerLite's servers. MailerLite's privacy policy is available at mailerlite.com.
• Vercel — our website hosting provider. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type) for security and performance purposes. Vercel's privacy policy is available at vercel.com.

5. Cookies

Our website does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. Vercel may set technical cookies necessary for website delivery. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

6. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Unsubscribe — click the unsubscribe link in any email we send you
• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Delete — request that we delete your email address from our list

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@parentcompass.ai and we will respond within 7 days.

7. Data retention

We retain your email address on our waitlist until you unsubscribe or request deletion. If ParentCompass does not launch within 24 months of you joining the waitlist, we will delete all waitlist data.

8. Children's privacy

Our waitlist is intended for parents and adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their data to us, contact us at hello@parentcompass.ai and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify waitlist members by email of any material changes. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
